We have EBS apartments at Welfare Road #43 Lagoon, airport Blvd Cole Bay. The Guesthouse is a big Green and yellow building.
Public transport in the Caribbean is relaxed, like the rest of the island. This means you usually just stand on the side of the road and wait until a bus passes by. When travelling to the school from the Guesthouse you take the bus towards Mullet Bay. From the school to the Guesthouse you take it direction Philipsburg. When you need to get off you holler to the bus driver stop please. Bus rides can vary between 1 and 2 dollar one way.
No such thing as cold weather on St. Martin. Temperatures vary between 25 – 35 degrees Celsius.
The currency on the island is dollar or Euro on the French side. The Dutch side of the island also accepts euro. Make sure you are able to use ATM’s on St. Martin, as certain cards are not accepted on the island.
Since this is an island with a lot of American tourists, meaning tipping is expected. Tipping is usually 15% in restaurants and bars. This also means that if you work on the island you will be making good money!
